(15-16) Lord Shiva said: From now onwards, at my bidding, this Vishnu has become worthy of my respect and that of all devas. Dear one, you too
bow to him. May all the Vedas extol him at my bidding as they extol me.
(25) O Vishnu, you are my left hand, as Brahma is my right hand. You shall be his progenitor and sustainer too.
(28) Lord Shiva said: This place of great prosperity and glory in my own world shall be famous as Goloka. It will be very brilliant.
(29) O Visnu, I shall certainly see the various incarnations of yours on the earth and shall be delighted by your devotion to me.
Shiva Purana Uma Samhita (Description of Worlds and Planets, Chapter 19):
(15-16) Lord Shiva said: From now onwards, at my bidding, this Vishnu has become worthy of my respect and that of all devas. Dear one, you too

(25) O Vishnu, you are my left hand, as Brahma is my right hand. You shall be his progenitor and sustainer too.

Shiva Purana Uma Samhita (Description of Worlds and Planets, Chapter 19):
(30) Sanatkumara said: Siva manifests himself as Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra.
(31) Everything springs up from him and finally merges in him. Siva is sung as the performer of all activities.
(32) Vyasa said: O sage Sanatkumara, O omniscient, please clear my doubts. Are there worlds above this universe?
(33) Sanatkumara said: O great sage, there are worlds above the universe. Please listen. I shall explain them clearly but briefly.
(34) The world Vaikunta is beyond the world of Brahma. It is here that Vishnu is stationed and it shines with great brilliance.
(35) Above it is the extremely wonderful world Kaumara. The general Karthikeya, the brilliant son of Siva shines here.
(36) Beyond that shines the excessively divine world of Uma, where Sakti - the mother of the three deities shines.
(37) She is the Prakrti, greater than the greatest, with the attributes of Rajas, Sattwa and Tamas. But the goddess Mahadevi (Sivaa) herself is
devoid of attributes, free from aberrations.
(38-39) The eternal Sivaloka is above that. Here lord Siva, the great Brahman, shines. He is indestructible, excessively divine and endowed with
great brilliance. He is the lord of all, greater than the three attributes. He is the progenitor of the three deities.
(40) There are no worlds above it. The Goloka is near it. Mother cows named Susilaa are there. They are favourites of Siva.
(41) The protector of that world is Krsna. He is established there at the behest of Siva by Siva himself who moves about as he pleases due to
his power.
(42) O Vyasa, Siva's region is wonderful and beautiful. It has no support. It shines with different objects. It cannot be specifically described.
(43) The presiding deity of that region is Siva. He is the crest jewel of all gods. He is worthy of being served by Vishnu, Brahma and Rudra.
He is the unsullied great soul.
(44) O dear, thus the situation of the entire universe is narrated to you. What more do you wish to hear about the position of the worlds.

(46) Hear all details about Sankachuda, the old narrative. There is nothing to be suspected. Siva will necessarily perform what is good.
(47-50) His region called Sivaloka is greater than the greatest. It is above everything. Siva, the supreme Brahman, the Great God shines there.
He is the presiding deity of Prakriti and Purusha. He wears three Saktis. He is both devoid and possessed of attributes. He has the great splendour
for his form. O Brahma, the three deities briging about creation, etc. are born of him. They are Vishnu, Brahma and Rudra endowed with Sattvika
and other attributes. He alone is the supreme soul. He sports there with Parvati. He is free from illusion. He is the formulator of the eternal
and the non-eternal.
(51) The Goloka is near it. Siva's cowshed is situated there. Krishna having my form stays there at Siva's behest.
(52) It is to tend his cows and bulls that he has been ordered by him. Deriving happiness from him he too sports there.
(53) His wife Radha is the mother of the universe. Her form is greater than Prakriti. It is the fifth sportive form.
(54) Many cowherds and cowherdesses born of her live there. They are sportively inclined and follow Radha and Krishna.
(55) That very same (Sudama, now born as Sankachuda) has been fascinated by her by Siva's illusion. Cursed by Radha he is born as Danava
to his distress.
(56) Krishna has already ordained that the death of Sankachuda will be by Rudra's trident. Casting off his body he will become his comrade again.
(57) O lord of gods, knowing this you need not have any fear. Let us seek refuge in Siva. He will do everything conducive to our good.
(58) You, I and the gods stand here fearless (due to that only).
Shiva Purana (Rudra Samhita Section 5: Yuddhakhanda, Chapter 30):
(27) Vishnu and Brahma said: O lord Siva, lord of the Gods, O Supreme Brahman, lord of all. O quiet one that is beyond the three attributes, O lord progenitor of the three deities.
(28) We have sought refuge in you. O lord, save us who are distressed. O lord Siva, we are harrassed by Sankachuda and so dejected and well nigh exhausted.
(29) The region that is adjacent to this place is called Goloka, Lord Krishna is it's presiding deity.
(30) One of his leading attendants and comrades, Sudama cursed by Radha and led by fate, has become the Danava Sankachuda.
(31) O Siva, the gods divested of all powers ousted and harassed by him roam over the Earth now.
(32) Except by you he cannot be killed by any one of the gods. Please kill him and render the worlds happy.
(33) You alone are devoid as well as possessed of attributes, truthful, of infinte valour, embedded in the good and greater than the Prakriti and Purusha.
(34) At creation, O lord, you are Brahma, the creator through Rajas. O protector of the three worlds, in the activity of protection through Sattva you are Vishnu.
(35) In dissolution through Tamas you are Rudra the annihilator of the universe. In the state free from the three attributes you are Siva the fourth one, of the form of brilliance.
(36) At your behest, Krishna the protector, goes to Goloka. Stationed in the middle of your cowshed he sports day and night.
(37) You are the cause of all. You are the lord of all. You are Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra. You are free from aberrations. You are the constant witness. You are the supreme soul, the great Isvara.
(38) You are the redeemer of the distressed and the poor, the protector and the kinsman of the distressed, the lord of the worlds. You are favourably disposed to those who seek refuge in you.
(39) O lord of Parvati, uplift us. O lord Siva, be pleased. O lord, we are subservient to you. You do as you please, O lord.
(40) Sanatkumara said: After saying this, O Vyasa, those two deities, Vishnu and Brahma bowed to Siva and stopped. They joined their palms in reverence and stood humbly.
Shiva Purana (Rudra Samhita Section 5: Yuddhakhanda, Chapter 31):
(1) Sanatkumara said: On hearing these words of the distressed Vishnu and Brahma, Siva laughingly spoke in the rumbling tone of the cloud.
(2) Siva said: "O dear Vishnu, O Brahma, cast off your fear from all sides. Certainly something good will result from the activities of Sankachuda
(3) I know all the details of his activities factually as well as those of Sudama the cowherd devotee of Krishna.
(4) At my bidding Vishnu has assumed the form of Krishna and is stationed in the cowshed in the beautiful Goloka presided over by me.
(5) Considering himself independent under a delusion he indulged in many kinds of sportive dalliance like a deluded licentious person.
(6) On seeing his excessive delusion as a result of my departive art I suppressed their virtuous intellect and made them suffer curse.
(7) Having thus performed my sport, I suppressed the illusion.
